Fixes That Actually Work for Rcsdassk

I’ve seen the Codes Error Rcsdassk log line enough times to recognize it mid-coffee sip.
It’s not a real error. It’s a placeholder. A symptom masquerading as a diagnosis.
Fix #1: Apache Tomcat 9.0.71+. That garbled valve identifier? Patch catalina.jar with the official 9.0.84+ update.
Drop it in CATALINA_HOME/lib/. Restart required. No hot reload.
Downtime is unavoidable here. Verify: hit your endpoint with curl -v, and check logs for SSLHandshakeException (not) Rcsdassk.
Fix #2: Windows registry keys using RCSDASSK as a placeholder. Find HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\[YourService]\ImagePath. Replace RCSDASSK with the full absolute path to your .exe.
No restart needed (but) stop and start the service manually. If you don’t, it keeps loading the old string.
Fix #3: .NET System 4.7.2 apps failing silently. Open web.config. Change to .
Save. Recycle the app pool. Hot reload works.
But only if you’re not using legacy IIS modules.
